Rather than suspend the program for future applicants, we are re-emphasising the program application requirements by kindly asking you to thoroughly read through this web page first and carefully follow the directions for the program submission requirements given below.

WE WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT AND PROCESS APPLICATIONS with any missing documentation for review and admitance. We offer this discount program as a privilege and we appreciate your professionalism in applying for the discount by providing a completed application with proper supporting documents, and a completed log-in account in our store that also contains your mailing/shipping address.

Due to time constraints we can no longer contact applicants for missing information on their application, and/or a non-existing log-in account with our store. If the application is submitted with any incomplete information and/or no log-in account with mailing/shipping address it will be rejected and no further communication or action taken. If your application submission complete, to include a a log-in account with our store with your complete shipping address added (and the review shows all application documents to be valid) then you will receive an email from us with a new log-in level and welcome letter to the program along with the rules and regulations.

Please feel free to contact us directly if you need any more information about what qualifying documents to submit with your application BEFORE you submit your application package to us. Paint and Powder Cosmetics provides fabulous customer service and super fast shipping with everyday low prices on the most wanted name brand products featured in our store.  Our Pro Artist Advantage Program (herein known as PAAP) has special offers, including an industry discount, to professionals working in the hair and makeup industries.  This discount is in addition to our everyday low prices, including orders that qualify for free shipping, as per our shipping policy.  PAAP is open to union and professionally employed freelance makeup artists, as well as licensed estheticians and hair stylists/cosmetologists with qualifying documentation. 

We also offer a Student Status Benefit Program (herein known as SSBP) that includes a discount for those individuals enrolled in or recently graduated from a professional makeup school, esthetic, or cosmetology program, and testing or promoting themselves in the industry towards acquiring professional paid employment.


Program Rules, Terms, and Conditions: PLEASE READ THE GENERAL INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE SUBMTTING AN APPLICATION FOR EITHER THE PAAP OR SSBP PROGRAM:

  • Discount percentages are separate for each program.  Discount amounts range from 20-30% for pros and 10-20% for Students. Students may apply to upgrade to PAAP AT at any time they become eligible with the required credentials as stated for PAAP below.
  • You MUST SET UP A LOG-IN ACCOUNT WITH OUR STORE that has the same email address, name, mailing/shipping address, and phone number you are going to use to apply for the discount program.  In other words, the information you provide on the application MUST MATCH the same information provided in your Log-in Account. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Please be sure to provide all contact information, including your current mailing/shipping address in your log-in account. Any Log-in accounts with this part missing will cause your application to be discarded.
  • Once you are processed and approved for the discount program you are applying for, your account will be re-set to the store log-in level with your program discount pricing already in place. Products will have their pricing reflect your applicable discount when they are placed in the cart for check out.
  • Discounts are not applicable to the purchase of any pre-assembled makeup kit or special makeup product sets, airbrush kits, makeup chairs, and makeup lights & accessories, which are already priced at a discount, and stated so on the website.
  • Discounts are not applicable to special orders, or custom made products.
  • Discounts are not retroactive to orders already placed or previously processed and shipped.
  • PAAP and SSBP accounts are not transferrable from one person to another, nor may they be used by anyone other than the account holder.  Account holders found in violation of this rule will be terminated immediately.
  • All purchases made under a PAAP or SSBP account are for the account holder’s exclusive use only.  They may not be resold, re-distributed, or placed back into any primary or secondary stream of profit in any way.  Account holders found in violation of this rule will be terminated immediately.
  • Paint and Powder Cosmetics reserves the right to amend, modify, or change PAAP and SSBP discount percentages on the brands/products we carry at any time and without further notice; and to amend, modify, or change PAAP and SSBP program policies, procedures, and special offerings at any time, and without further notice.
  • Paint and Powder Cosmetics reserves the right to limit quantity or volume purchases under the PAAP and SSBP Program.
  • The PAAP and SSBP program does not accept industry discount cards from another makeup companies for use in our store.
  • We do not accept applications from countries that we do not accept orders from or ship to.
  • We do not accept applications that are submitted in a foreign language that is not translated, and/or any documentation that is submitted in a foreign language that is not translated.
  • Paint and Powder Cosmetics reserves the right to require renewal, or terminate the PAAP or SSBP programs at any time without further notice.

    PROS Qualifying for the PAAP Discount:
  • In order to process your application for PAAP you must first create a Log-In account with us by clicking on the “Log In” link under Client Login at the top of the left hand menu. 
  • You MUST SET UP A LOG-IN ACCOUNT that has the same email address, name, mailing/shipping address, and phone number you are going to use to apply for the discount program.  In other words, the information you provide on the application MUST MATCH the same information provided in your Log-in Account. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Please be sure to provide all contact information, including your current mailing shipping address in your log-in account. Any Log-in accounts with this part missing will cause your application to be discarded.
  • Next,download and fill out the registration form, which can be downloaded by clicking here. Send us the completed registration form by FAX or Email along with a copy of your official photo ID.  This can be a state or government issued photo ID (Driver’s license, Official State issued ID card). We do not accept foreign ID cards as proof of identification for applicants who are living in the US, or providing a US address on their application.   NO EXCEPTIONS.  The Failure to provide proper photo ID will result in your application being rejected.

In addition to your registration form and copy of your ID, you must also include a copy of ONE (1) of the qualifying documents below:

    • Makeup Union ID Card (706, 798, etc.)
    • Agency Comp Card that clearly shows the name of the agency and contact info the artist is registered with. Comp Cards created without the name and contact info of the agency will not be accepted.
    • Copy of a valid State Board issued Cosmetology or Esthetician license.
    • Your IMDB Link with credits as a makeup or hair stylist. You must be listed under the Makeup or Hair Department Section.
    • Call sheet issued by a production company for a PAID JOB, and dated within the last 12 months. Must have name and position clearly listed on the sheet.
    • Published magazine editorial tear sheets with your name appearing in the credits. Published print ads must be submitted with the credited photographer’s full contact information, NOTE: Ezines or internet magazines are not accepted, only those available in print on newsstands.
    • Official website with a portfolio of published works currently or previously seen in Film, TV, or Print circulation. Bridal artists must have a professional website that contains their company information and a portfolio of at least 6 different brides. Personal artistry pages from social networking sites, blogs, or community board profile/listings are not accepted as professional websites.
    • We do not accept any photos of a pornographic nature, or website links to pornographic sites where the photos are published, as qualifying documentation.
    • We do not accept the following as qualifying documents: business cards, comp cards that look like another form of business cards, bridal makeup contracts, pay stubs for makeup brand counter artists, Facebook or other social media portfolio pages, and discount cards from other makeup brands or companies.

STUDENTS Qualifying for the SSBP Discount:

  • In order to process your application for SSBP you must first create a Log-In account with us by clicking on the “Log In” link under Client Login at the top of the left hand menu. 
  • You MUST SET UP A LOG-IN ACCOUNT that has the same email address, name, mailing/shipping address, and phone number you are going to use to apply for the discount program.  In other words, the information you provide on the application MUST MATCH the same information provided in your Log-in Account. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Please be sure to provide all contact information, including your current mailing/shipping address in your log-in account. Any Log-in accounts with this part missing will cause your application to be discarded.
  • Next, download and fill out the registration form, which can be downloaded by clicking here. Send us the completed registration form by FAX or Email along with a copy of your official photo ID.  This can be a state or government issued photo ID (Driver’s license, State issued ID card) NO EXCEPTIONS.  Failure to provide proper photo ID will result in your application being rejected.

In addition to your registration form and copy of your ID, you must also include a copy of ONE (1) of the qualifying documents below:

    • A copy of your enrollment papers with a recognized professional makeup school, esthetics school, or cosmetology school
    • A copy of your current makeup school, esthetics school, or cosmetology school ID
    • A copy of your completion/graduation certificate from a recognized makeup school, esthetics school, or cosmetology school
    • A letter from your school administrator (on school letterhead) certifying you are/were a student at their institution
    • A published website with a portfolio that shows at minimum, 6 pictures of your work. These shots must be of 6 different models. The website must be accessable on the internet, and contain an "About You" page, along with your name as the makeup artist and contact information.
    • We do not accept enrollment papers or letters of admission from online makeup schools or online courses. It must be from an accredited or recognized institution that requires you to be in physical attendance daily for more than 7 consecutive day(s) at their location, and with hands-on professional training under the guidance of an instructor.
    • We do not accept the following as qualifying documents: business cards, comp cards that look like another form of business cards, bridal makeup contracts, Facebook or other social media portfolio pages, and discount cards from other makeup brands or companies.

Any applications sent by other means outside of these instructions may result in your application not being received by us.  Please allow 10 - 14 business days for processing your application. Once approved, we will email you with your upgraded account status to reflect the discount program you applied for, along with an acceptance/details letter.
