Face charts are a very important part of performing makeup artistry because they allow you to document created looks, work up designs, or experiment with new makeup ideas or products before taking it to the face. It can also be used as written instructions for skin care.Face charts are also an important part of working with all clients in recording products used or purchased, and to give written application instructions. It becomes a valuable makeup guide for them to apply on their own later on.Charts are often used to help maintain makeup continuity for actors, especially with character designs. They serve as an important tool in creating preliminary sketches that can later be imported or scanned into the computer for further design work in computer generating images. They should be a very important tool in performing bridal makeup consultations or trial runs.You can use the actual makeup on the face chart paper (such as eyeshadow, blush, contour, eyeliner, lip liner lipstick, etc.) as long as you apply a little translucent powder when finished to prevent the makeup from smearing or coming off. Use a cotton round for general blending out, or a cotton swab for blending smaller detail work.You can also get really creative and achieve different color saturations by using watercolor paints, colored pencils, acrylic paint, crayons, etc. It doesn’t really matter what you use to work the chart for your designs, but don't forget to list all the products you used to create the look.Pad contains one style of 50 sheets (8.5" x 11").
