The TraumaSkin FX™ Dust, Dirt and Grime Powder Palette contains 6 authentic looking dirt colors found in the environment, and makes it super easy to replicate for your particular needs:
Texas Dirt - simulates dirt that has some slight reddish brown undertones, without being overly red, such as found in the Southwest US. It's great to use alone with a light touch, or as a base color to enhance other dirt colors that are smeared over it.
Ash - this is nearly identical to a product called Fuller's Earth - but more like a pale colored gray residue dirt - often the result of burned up material that has a whitish ash result. It's also great to mix with the other colors in the palette for a more subdued color result, or for a slightly dusty character look.
Soot - perfect to simulate grease stains, or powder burns from gunshot wound, or charring effects from 3rd degree burns. Use it for that sooty look of chimney sweepers, coal miners, blast explosion residue, or character looks. Smear it and spray it with glycerin for a great looking greasy look.
Canyon Clay - this is a natural looking, subtle color of clay found in the Northwest US, and is a popular color for subtle effects. Use it alone, or mix or blend over other colors to get a great depth and dimension in your dirt effects. Is also great to use for a lighter color dusty character look, and looks great under a spritz of water for that dusty and sweaty look.
Mud - your basic mud color that would result when mixing water with most kinds of natural colored dirts (think mud pies that children like to create!) This color is perfect as a basic mud smear, and can be combined with smears of the other colors in the palette to create authentic looks. Great to use for road rash effects too.
Dust - this is a bit darker version of dust, kind of in-between Canyon Clay and Mud, which is indicative of most dirts found in the US. It's great as a smear or in a combination of other colors also it's also great to use for road rash and other minor effects.
